Student Exchange Program of universities in Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany and Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico
Requirements to participate in the student exchange program
General requirements

All applicants have to meet the following requirements

1. to be a fulltime student at one of the participating universities in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany or at a campus of the Tec de Monterrey in Mexico (see "participating universities").

2. to be enrolled since min. 2 years in an undergraduate study program or min. one semester in a graduate study program in one of the selected disciplines (see "disciplines").

3. to proof adequate language skills
Depending on the subject (discipline) and the university/campus students may find courses in English or in the language of the hosting institution (Spanish or German) only. Please check the relevant information under "Places in Germany" and "Places in Mexico".

The language requirements for studying in English are:
TOEFL > 90 (internet) or around 250 (computerbased)

The language requirements for studying in German are:
a) DSH, b) Goethe language certificates on advanced level (C1 level) like ZMP, ZOP, PWD or c) TESTDAF (min. 4 on average)

The language requirements for studying in Spanish are:
Language certificate of the Instituto Cervantes or other advanced level tests.

4. for the study abroad period all students must meet in addition the general requirements for studying abroad:
- adequate health insurance,
-
visa and residence permits,
- payment of enrollment fees,
- payment of the relevant tuition (normally paid to the home university).

Exchange students are responsible to find adequate housing (normally with assistance from the guest university) and will have to cover all costs related to the study abroad (international travel cost, local travel costs, all costs of living. Sometimes the exchange students may also have to pay some fees (labarotry fees, sports etc.) to the hosting university.
